Hey, Well in our grade 9 class we are doing a Gummy Bear lab. Yes i know for the top of the page i called it a Gummy Worm lab. I am sorry for my mistake but it is a Gummy Bear Lab. We are seeing what the gummy bear will do if it sits in water over night. Some people sad it would go bigger, disolve, shrink. There were all different things people said. Well first we needed to get a ruler, paper, calculator,Gummy bear, cup, water and a triple beam balance. Then you want to Choose one gummy bear from the container on your table. Use the materials you are usuing and then measure your gummy bear and weigh it and then put it in day one on your chart. The measurments are Length, Width, and Thickness. And then you want to get the Volume. Then on day 2 you will go see how your gummy bear went and then you want to measure it, etc. After you want to answer the following questions: 1. Was your hypothesis right? meaning at the start when you guessed what would happen to the gummy bear. Then question 2 is: Which cahnge is greater?- Volume or Mass? Then question 3 is, Was there any change in density? why? Then question 4 is, How do your results compare to those of your classmates? Then thats pretty much what we did. Some groups putthem in Video Format. So check out the page Mad Scientists and you will see all those videos. Thanks and have a great day!
